The link to a lovely blanket I'm going to make for what is going to be my new collection... someday.

I'm only half way through crocheting my first afghan that involves changing yarn and I already know what my next crochet/knit project will be.

It's Dottie Angels's Extraordinary Blanket and I'm hoping it's not too challenging for me, but it's so cold here all I can think of is how warm it will keep me, not to mention how pretty it is.  I can imagine myself not finishing it until I'm sweating under the unfinished piece in the heat of summer!  So I really need to take a class.  My neighbor and I are going to try to attend one at a fabric store not too far from where we live, if my work schedule will allow.   I've started accumulating yarn from local thrift shops and I've purchased some on Ebay but the problem with the thrift shops is that they usually don't come with any kind of label on the skeins.  It could be that the yarn isn't very good quality (I'm not sure but they all look/feel like 100% wool or wool blends).  I'm an amateur knitter/crocheter, so I need to find a way to determine the type of yarn I've picked up.  Anyone know of a way or is there a website you can suggest?  Thanks in advance!  And hope you're all keeping toasty!
